David MacDonald has extensive experience in the field of estates and property management. David began their career at Glasgow City Council as an Assistant Development Surveyor before moving on to Gerald Eve as an Assistant Valuation Surveyor. David then worked at Bilfinger GVA as a Site Acquisition Surveyor, where they acquired multiple sites for Vodafone's 2G network. David joined Crown Castle as a Portfolio Manager and later became an Investment Surveyor, leading property due diligence for major acquisitions. David then joined National Grid as a Regional Asset Manager, responsible for gaining property consents for National Grid Wireless. At Arqiva, they held various roles including National Asset Manager, National Estates & Asset Manager, and finally Head of Estates & Property. David joined Cornerstone (CTIL) as the Head of Property & Estates, tasked with developing and implementing estates management strategies and policies. Currently, they are the Head of Estates at Wireless Infrastructure Group, leading the company through a growth phase and overseeing the implementation of the new Electronic Communications Code. Throughout their career, David has consistently demonstrated strategic leadership and operational expertise in managing property portfolios and driving successful outcomes for various organizations.
David MacDonald attended Wick High School from 1985 to 1991. David did not obtain a specific degree or pursue any particular field of study during their time there. After completing high school, David went on to attend the University of Paisley from 1991 to 1996. David earned a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Land Economics with European Property Studies, specializing in the field of Property.
