Amanda Schultz has a diverse work experience that spans from 2007 to 2015. Their most recent role was as the Director of Retail Operations at the Wisconsin Historical Society, where they oversaw the retail operational standards for the Museums and Sites Division, managed custom product development, and created Open to Buy plans. Before that, they worked as a Museum Store Manager, where they were responsible for the daily operations of the Wisconsin Historical Museum store and the online store. In addition, Amanda has experience as a Museum Store Assistant Manager, NAGPRA Grant Research Assistant, E-Commerce Coordinator & Store Sales Associate, Assembly Page at the Wisconsin State Assembly, Campaign Co-Manager at State Senator Dale Schultz's office, and Assistant Dance Teacher at the Betty Hayes School of Dance.
Amanda Schultz completed their Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, International Studies, and obtained a German Certificate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2008 to 2012. Following this, in 2013, they received a Basic Web Design Certificate from Madison Area Technical College. In 2011, they also studied German and English at The University of Bonn for a brief period.

The Wisconsin Historical Society helps people connect to the past by collecting, preserving and sharing stories. The Society was founded in 1846, two years before Wisconsin became the 30th state. Through its library, archives, historic sites and museums, historic preservation and local history programs, publications, school services and website, it ranks as one of the largest, most active, and most diversified state historical societies in the nation.
