Wisconsin State Patrol
William (Bill) Berger has extensive experience in law enforcement, currently serving as a Police Lieutenant with the Wisconsin State Patrol since July 1989. In this role, William provides statewide program oversight, collaborating with the motor carrier industry and legislators to implement new regulations. Previous positions include Police Sergeant and State Patrol Inspector, during which William enforced state and federal regulations through the issuance of citations and custodial arrests. Additionally, William has experience as a farmer at Berger Farms. Educationally, William holds an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Chippewa Valley Technical College, earned between 1985 and 1987.

Wisconsin State Patrol
The Wisconsin State Patrol is the highway patrol for the state of Wisconsin and is a division of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. We enforce traffic and criminal laws, oversee the motor carrier safety and weight facilities (SWEFs), inspect and regulate motor carriers, school buses, and ambulances, and assist local law enforcement agencies with response to incidents as needed.
