Karen Showers

Karen Showers has extensive experience in student services within the Wisconsin Technical College System, serving as Education Director since 2000, where consultation services were provided to the WTCS Board and 16 colleges on issues related to counseling, career development, enrollment services, and gender equity initiatives. Previously, from 1987 to 2000, Karen coordinated the Career Development Program at Blackhawk Technical College, focusing on support for adults in transition. Karen's educational background includes degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and the University at Albany, highlighting qualifications in public management, career development, guidance and counseling, and psychology/philosophy.
