Michael Meyers

Michael Meyers has extensive work experience in the field of information security. Michael started their career at the Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command as an Intrusion Detection Analyst in 2013 and worked there until 2015. Michael then joined SDG Corporation as a Cyber Ark Engineer/Cyber Security Consultant for a year before moving on to Datacom as a Senior Security Analyst in 2016.

In 2016, Michael joined the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as an Information Security Associate and worked there until early 2018. Michael then joined UPS as a Senior Cyber Intelligence Analyst, where they developed an automated alerting system for fraudulent activity impacting customers and was responsible for assessing and improving the security system.

From 2018 to 2022, Michael founded their own company called kage Security, where they served as the Founder, Penetration Tester, and Security Consultant. Michael then joined Marriott International as a Senior Manager of Information Security from 2020 to 2021 before joining Scope Security as the Director of Security Operations in 2021.

Currently, Michael is working at DFend as the Chief Information Security Officer starting from November 2020. And in 2023, they will be joining WisdomTree Prime as the Lead Security Engineer.

Throughout their career, Michael has gained experience in various roles, including intrusion detection, cyber security consulting, security analysis, intelligence analysis, and security management.

Michael Meyers attended the Center for Information Dominance in 2010 where they graduated and became a certified Cryptologic Technician Networks. Michael also attended Florida State College at Jacksonville from 2009 to 2010 and obtained an Associate of Science degree in Engineering/Industrial Management. In addition to their formal education, Michael has received various certifications including Splunk Architect, GMON, Radiant Logic, Cisco (CCNA), Microsoft Access Database Administrator, CompTIA Linux+, CompTIA Security+, AWS, CyberArk, and GCIA.
