Barbara Martini

Barbara Martini has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Barbara began their career in 2000 as a Journalist of Science at Gruppo Mediaset, where they were responsible for creating daily news, writing and assembling short news articles and special insights reports. Barbara also assisted in the selection of documentaries and organized masthead for press offices. After five years, they transitioned to Università degli Studi di Milano - C.I.Ma.I.Na., working as a Grant Manager and Director Assistant. In this role, Barbara managed grant applications, administered grants, and provided administrative support for the center. Barbara was also responsible for the center's communication, including website management, reports, and press relations.

In 2009, Barbara joined Fondazione Filarete as a Grant Manager and Scientific Director's Assistant. Their responsibilities included managing grant applications, administration, and liaising with various stakeholders. Additionally, they served as a personal assistant to the Scientific Director.

Currently, Barbara holds the position of Head of Grants & IP at WISE S.r.l. since July 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as a Grants and IP Specialist at the same company, where they were involved in scouting new funding opportunities, supporting project writing and submission, managing winning projects, and overseeing the Intellectual Property protection office.

Throughout their career, Barbara has demonstrated strong organizational and communication skills, as well as expertise in grant management and administration.

Barbara Martini's education history includes a Master's degree in Natural Sciences from Università degli Studi di Milano, which they earned from 1992 to 1998. Barbara later pursued a Specialistic after-Degree course in Scientific Communication at the same university, completing it from 1998 to 1999. In more recent years, they attended Politecnico di Milano from 2017 to 2018, focusing on Patents but not obtaining a specific degree.
