João began their career as a Superintendente de Crédito at Banco Itaú in September 1979. João left Banco Itaú in March 1993 to start their own consulting firm, Douat Consulting. In 2001, they joined BTV Serviços Financeiros Ltda, where they worked for 10 years. In 2011, they joined Wiserfunding Ltd, where they have worked for the past 9 years.
