From 2006 to 2010, they were a Senior Java Developer at Coradiant, which was acquired by BMC. From 2010 to 2012, they were the Lead R&D at Aptilon. From 2012 to 2014, they were the VP Engineering at OMsignal, which was acquired by Honeywell. From 2014 to 2015, they were the Founder of IdeaPlaces. From 2015 to 2016, they were the Head of Mobile at Eastern Bank. In 2017, they were a Venture Developer and Co-Founder of CatalyzeUp. From 2021 to 2022, they were CTO Advisor at XpertSea and an Advisor at ENDVR.io. In 2016, they were CTO and Co-Founder of WISK.ai.

Ciprian (Chip) Rarau attended the High School of Computer Science in Tiberiu Popoviciu, Cluj-Napoca, Romania from 1994 to 1998. Ciprian (Chip) then attended the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania from 1998 to 2003 where they obtained a Bachelor in Computer Science Engineering with a field of study in Computer Software Engineering.
