Geoffrey Long is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the aerospace and robotics sectors. Currently serving as Aircraft Chief Engineer and Head of Hardware Engineering at Wisk since June 2010, Geoffrey manages a large engineering organization encompassing multiple engineering disciplines. Prior to Wisk, Geoffrey held the position of Senior Systems Engineer at LaunchPoint Technologies, where significant contributions included the development of high power density electric motors and innovative electro-magnetic mechanisms. Earlier roles at Raytheon involved leading teams in creating opto-mechanical mechanisms for spacecraft and land vehicles, and initiating extensive budget-managed projects. Geoffrey's foundational experience includes a Graduate Student Research Assistant position at the University of Michigan, where innovative designs in mobile robotics were developed. Geoffrey holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
