Carla J. Donahue has a wealth of experience in marketing, public relations, and communications. Carla J. began their career in 2007 as a Marketing and Communications Specialist at DEPCO Parts. Carla J. then moved on to Krieg DeVault LLP as a Marketing Assistant in 2008. In 2010, they became the Marketing and Public Relations Director at Crossroads of America Council, Boy Scouts of America, where they coordinated community events, launched the Indiana State Fair- Boy Scout Base Camp/Legacy Project, and worked closely with the Dale Coyne Race team to promote their Scouting IRL Car. In 2012, they joined SmarterHQ as a Marketing Director, responsible for new client generation, company branding, competitive positioning, as well as case studies and award submissions. Carla J. then moved to Loxa Beauty in 2014 as the Marketing and Public Relations Manager, where they planned, developed, and executed the launch strategy for a direct to consumer retail website. In 2016, they were promoted to Director of Marketing for CosmoProf Beauty and then Senior Director of Marketing Services for Sally Beauty in 2018. In 2020, they joined JCPenney as the Director of Owned Media, supporting the brand and promotions through owned media channels. Carla J. is currently the Head of Lifecycle Marketing at WITHIN.
Carla J. Donahue's education history includes attending Muncie Central High School from 1998-2001, Virginia Tech from 2001-2005, and Ball State University from 2005-2007, where they earned a BA in Public Relations.
