Mike Gallagher

Mike Gallagher is the Senior MD of Shipping & Transportation at Witt O’Brien’s. Mike has over 25 years of experience in the maritime and transportation industries.

Mike started their career as a Senior Engineer at URS Corporation in 1991. Mike then became the Managing Director/CEO of Gallagher Marine Systems in 1994. In 1999, they joined Vistar Datacom as the Executive Director of Sales & Marketing. Mike then moved to LMI in 2004, where they worked as a Senior Consultant until 2013. Mike joined Witt O’Brien’s in 2013 and has been with the company ever since.

Mike has a wealth of knowledge and experience in maritime and transportation operations, logistics, and management. Mike is an expert in crisis and emergency management, having worked on some of the biggest maritime disasters in recent history, including the Deepwater Horizon oil spill and Hurricane Katrina.

Mike Gallagher has a certification from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Qualified Individual and Incident Command.

Their manager is Tim Whipple, CEO. They are on a team with Cheryl Joiner - Director of Contracts & Compliance, Jeet Sule - Director of IT Development, and Christian Montz - MD, Infrastructure Services.
