J. P. Targete

J. P. Targete has had an extensive work experience in the field of illustration and concept art. J. P. started their career in 1989 as a conceptual designer, creature designer, costume illustrator, and art director for their own company, targeteart.com. In 2015, they worked as a freelance conceptual artist for DeKnight productions. From 2016 to 2019, they worked on various projects for companies such as Sony Pictures Animation, Digital Domain 3.0, Universal Studios, and Mousetrappe, taking on roles as a visual development artist, matte painter, and concept artist. In 2017, they worked as a freelance illustrator for Fox and The Upper Deck Company. In 2018, they joined Wizards of the Coast as a freelance illustrator specializing in Magic the Gathering. J. P. also worked as a freelance concept artist for MYCOTOO, Inc. in 2019. Recently, in 2022, they briefly returned to The Upper Deck Company as an illustrator.

J. P. Targete attended the School of Visual Arts from 1985 to 1989. During this time, they obtained a B.A. degree in illustration as well as a BFA in Illustration.
