Technical Artist at Wizards of the Coast

Keegan Williams has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Technical Artist at Wizards of the Coast since March 2021. Prior to that, Keegan worked as an Illustrator at kwill from April 2012. During this time, they provided traditional and digital illustration/design services, specializing in prepress, custom graphics, character concept design, research, and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite. They also contributed to various projects including illustration for novels, apparel, concept design, storyboarding, and print/prepress.

From November 2017 to March 2021, Keegan worked at SGK as a Production Artist/Premedia Specialist/Photo Retoucher. Their responsibilities included photo retouching for online retailers such as Nike, Starbucks, and The North Face, as well as packaging design and prepress work for clients like Ann Taylor and Continental Mills. They demonstrated expertise in photo and color correction, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, concept generation, design guidelines, proofing, graphic design, logo/identity/packaging design, typographical practices, trapping, and quality assurance. They also had experience in training and team management.

Before that, Keegan worked as an Orthodontic Technician at Trace Ortho Lab from August 2016 to August 2017. They also served as a Digital Art and Print Production specialist at Adhesa Plate MFG from June 2014 to June 2015, where they were responsible for ensuring quality digital art production for industrial labels and graphic overlays. In addition, they led the Digital Art Department, handling art creation, proofing, prepress, order processing, and print operation. Keegan demonstrated expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, digital setup for print, custom graphic design and layout, RIP software, art proofing, and adherence to branding principles.

They also worked briefly as a Production Chef at Storyville coffee from January 2014 to June 2014, where they contributed to the production and proper distribution of hand-made pastries, baked goods, and other in-store products. Their responsibilities included ensuring high quality in a fast-paced environment, management and executive decision making, collaboration in a team, and coordination with multiple retail locations.

Lastly, Keegan worked as a Visual Data Specialist at Google from March 2011 to March 2013.

Keegan Williams briefly attended Bellevue College in 2007, during which no degree or field of study was pursued.
