Tara Theoharis

Tara Theoharis has a diverse work experience in various industries. Tara is currently working as a Program Manager for Emerging Business at Wizards of the Coast since 2023. Prior to this, they founded and served as the President of The Geeky Hostess, a startup focusing on content creation and a branded product line. During their time there, they wrote several cookbooks and successfully delivered a Kickstarter project.

From 2010 to 2023, Tara worked at Amazon, where they held the position of Senior Program Manager in different departments. In their role, they managed events and activations for the Entertainment and Character team, executed the digital Kids Gift Guide, and collaborated with partner studios. Tara also played a key role in Amazon's Platinum sponsorship at Disney's D23 Expo and conducted negotiations with partner studios.

Before joining Amazon, Tara worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Senior Program Manager, where they managed events, organized speaker series and networking events, and created the AWS On Air web series. Tara also worked as a Manager at Simplicity Consulting, focusing on US Events for Xbox.

As a Producer, Tara worked on various YouTube channels, driving millions of views through online content production and marketing. Tara also served as the Director of Marketing at Crystal Commerce, a company specializing in E-Commerce SaaS for game and hobby stores. During their time there, they developed marketing strategies and implemented personalized marketing services for online stores.

Tara started their career as an Account Executive at Banyan Branch, where they analyzed and implemented social media marketing for clients in the startup, non-profit, and consumer tech spaces.
