Yuki Fujii's work experience is a reflection of their success and growth within the gaming and entertainment industries. They began their career as an Editor and Writer at Shogakukan Inc. in April 1995 and transitioned to OPAS in October 1997, where they quickly advanced to Customer Service Manager. At OPAS, they focused on providing exceptional customer service primarily for Japanese customers and played a role in hiring and training new representatives.
In October 2000, Yuki joined Wizards of the Coast as a Marketing Coordinator. They were responsible for collecting product and marketing information for overseas offices and partners in various markets. Yuki's strong performance led to rapid promotions, eventually reaching the position of Senior Brand Manager. During their tenure at Wizards of the Coast, Yuki contributed significantly to the success of the company's core brands, particularly Duel Masters, and generated over $130M in sales.
In January 2011, Yuki embraced a new challenge as the Senior Sales and Marketing Director for Japan at Wizards of the Coast. In this leadership role, they successfully drove business growth for Magic: The Gathering and Duel Masters in Japan, the company's second-largest market. Yuki built and led teams of 30 employees, executed product releases, managed the company's P&L, and consistently achieved margin targets.
Most recently, Yuki assumed the position of Director of Business Development at Wizards of the Coast, starting in July 2020. In this role, they explore and capitalize on digital and analog business opportunities for the company's core brands, including Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and Duel Masters. Yuki's responsibilities also encompass negotiating deals with licensees and collaboration partners.
