WKAR at Michigan State University
Ken Merley is a seasoned production manager with extensive experience at WKAR at Michigan State University since November 1999, overseeing coordination and supervision of productions, directing programs, and managing set and lighting designs. As a studio supervisor, Merley has directed various productions, including "QuizBusters," and has served in multiple technical roles. In addition to their work at WKAR, Merley has been an adjunct faculty member at Lansing Community College since June 2009, teaching television production courses. As the president and executive producer of Merrily Productions since January 2004, Merley provides lighting, sound, and video support for events, along with consulting and installation services for media infrastructure. Merley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications from Michigan State University, obtained between 1995 and 1998.
