Paul Connor

Paul Connor currently serves as Divisional Commercial Manager and Finance Business Partner at WM New Zealand since November 2020. Prior experience includes a contract role as Senior Management Accountant at the Earthquake Commission, where responsibilities included financial partnership for Canterbury business units, month-end management accounting, and budget preparation. In a prior position at Ngāi Tahu Tourism, Paul was responsible for the accounting function of three group businesses and budget preparation. Previous roles also feature extensive experience as Finance Manager at Homes by Maxim and Tomkins Plc, where strategic decision-making support and multi-currency accounting were key responsibilities. Early career positions include Finance Manager at B&D Doors (NZ) Ltd, Financial Accountant at Tele2, and an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Paul holds a Chartered Accountant designation from ICAEW and a Master of Mathematics degree from The University of Sheffield.
