Amy Wilson

Program Coordinator, Workforce Development at WMCAT

Amy Wilson joined WMCAT in 2022 as program coordinator of workforce development. Prior to WMCAT, Amy worked as the program coordinator at Michigan Ballet Academy where she also served on faculty. She has also served on faculty at Grand Valley State University, Grand Rapids Community College, Civic Theatre and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, and as a guest artist in contemporary dance across West Michigan. Amy holds a BFA of Performing Arts in Dance from Wichita State University. As the Artistic Director of Dance in the Annex (DITA), a Grand Rapids-based contemporary dance collective, Amy has been recognized locally, nationally and internationally as a choreographer and performer, with a focus on site-specific performance and dance-on-film work. In 2014 DITA won the ArtPrize Time-Based Juror Award and in 2015 Amy was awarded the ArtPrize Fellowship for Emerging Curators and was the YWCA Tribute Award Honoree for the Arts.
