Valentina Zakirova

Valentina Zakirova serves as the Chief of VC&PE at Social Discovery Ventures since 2018, overseeing all VC&PE investments and participating as a voting member of the Investment Committee. Valentina is also an investor in Woebot Health, Patreon, and Lingualeo, and holds the position of Board Member at Lingualeo and Board Observer at Flo Health Inc. Valentina's experience includes a role as a Senior Investment Analyst at Waarde Capital from 2015 to 2018, focusing on analysis and portfolio monitoring. Valentina founded BitCab, a ridesharing app, from 2013 to 2015. Currently, Valentina is a fellow at the Startup Leadership Program and is pursuing a degree in Venture Capital and Private Equity at the University of California, Berkeley. Valentina's academic background includes a Master's degree in Financial Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, a Master's degree in Finance from the Higher School of Economics, and a Bachelor's degree in Financial Markets from the Finance University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
