Stephen Fitzgerald MBA is a highly experienced finance professional with a strong background in local government finance and strategic leadership. Currently serving as the Strategic Director for Finance (Section 151) at Woking Borough Council since April 2024, Stephen has held various key positions including Finance Improvement and Sustainability Advisor at the Local Government Association, Interim Chief Finance Officer at East Staffordshire Borough Council, and Interim Director of Investment and Corporate Services at the West of England Combined Authority.
