Filip Geens began their work experience as a Student Intern at PwC Belgium in 2009. Filip then worked at PwC Belgium as a Consultant and later as a Senior Consultant in Tax Services from 2010 to 2014, including a short-term international assignment with PwC Netherlands. In 2014, they joined DEME Group - Dredging International N.V. as a Compensation & Benefits / Global Mobility Specialist until 2017. Since 2017, they have been working at Wolf Oil Corporation, where they held various roles including Compensation and Benefits Manager and currently serves as the Head of Human Resources. In their roles, they have been responsible for designing and implementing remuneration policies, managing cross-border employment and global mobility activities, overseeing payroll and HR budgets, and acting as a contact person for remuneration, payroll, tax, and social security queries. Filip has also collaborated with external service providers.

Filip Geens has a diverse education history. Filip began their studies at Olve Edegem / Mortsel from 1997 to 2003, where they focused on Latin and Science. Filip then went on to the University of Antwerp from 2003 to 2009, earning a Master's degree in Law. Following this, Filip pursued further specialization in Tax Law by completing a Master's program (ManaMa) at the University of Antwerp from 2009 to 2010.
