Bob Metcalfe

Bob Metcalfe is a distinguished academic and entrepreneur currently serving as a CSAIL Research Affiliate in Computational Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and as an Affiliate Computational Engineer at The Wolfram Institute. Metcalfe holds the title of Emeritus Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at The University of Texas at Austin. Metcalfe has extensive experience as a venture capitalist, having been a partner at Polaris Partners, and has a notable background in technology companies, including founding 3Com Corporation.
