Steph Macurdy is currently the Head of Blockchain Research & Education at Wolfram, a subsidiary of Wolfram Research. They have been in this role since January 2023. Steph previously worked as a Blockchain Analyst at Wolfram from January 2022 to December 2022. Before joining Wolfram, Steph was a Research Intern at the company from August 2021 to December 2021.
Prior to their work at Wolfram, Steph worked as an Energy Advisor at Tesla from February 2018 to July 2019. They were responsible for accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy and gaining knowledge about the electrical grid.
Steph's earliest work experience was as an Investment Analyst at Cambridge Associates, where they worked from May 2011 to September 2013.
Steph Macurdy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics & Business/Finance from Lafayette College, which was obtained from 2007 to 2011. They also obtained a Certificate in Finance from the Real World Risk Institute in 2019. In 2021, Steph completed multiple programs including the Economics of Blockchain and Digital Assets at Wharton Executive Education, Economic Growth at Wolfram Summer School, and various programs at Wolfram U such as Daily Study Group: Multiparadigm Data Science, Wolfram Neural Networks Boot Camp 2021, and Daily Study Group: Wolfram Language Basics. Additionally, they obtained certifications from US Youth Soccer, including the D License.
