Chuck Burnside

Chuck Burnside has a diverse work experience in finance and leadership roles. Chuck is currently a Board Member at SAFEchild NC since June 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Vice President of Corporate Finance at Wolfspeed starting in April 2019. From August 2014 to April 2019, they served as the Vice President of Finance for LED Products at Cree. Chuck also held positions at SAS as the Director of Finance from June 2012 to August 2014, and at Cree, Inc. in various roles including Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, Assistant Corporate Controller, and Business Unit Controller within the Lighting Division. Chuck was also the Corporate Controller at LED Lighting Fixtures, Inc. before it was acquired by Cree, Inc. in 2008. Earlier in their career, Chuck worked as the Division Controller and Assistant Division Controller at Pulte Group, Inc. as well as a Senior Associate at PwC.

Chuck Burnside has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from West Virginia University and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Fairmont State University.
