Thomas Gehrke

Thomas Gehrke, PhD, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning several companies in the semiconductor industry. Thomas is currently serving as the Senior Director of Product Engineering at Wolfspeed since May 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Micron Technology in various roles including Director of Product Management, Senior Manager of Global Procurement, and Senior Product Manager in the Compute and Networking Business Unit. Thomas also held positions such as Section Manager and Process Lead in PCVD DRAM/Emerging Memory, Project Manager in Strategic Planning, and Process Development Manager in Lighting Technology. Before joining Micron Technology, Thomas worked at Intrinsic Semiconductor as the Director of Operations and Director of GaN Materials. Thomas started their career at Nitronex Corporation, where they held roles as Manufacturing Operations Manager and Advanced Materials Leader. Overall, Thomas has demonstrated expertise in product management, engineering operations, procurement, and process development throughout their career in the semiconductor industry.

Thomas Gehrke, PhD, MBA has an education history that includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Materials Science and Engineering from North Carolina State University, which they completed from 1998 to 2000. Thomas also holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering from Technische Universität Braunschweig, which they obtained from 1992 to 1997. In addition, they recently completed an Executive MBA in Business and Economics at Boise State University, from 2018 to 2020.
