Ingrid McAlpin

Ingrid McAlpin has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ingrid began their career as an Associate Project Manager at ICPMR in 1992 and then moved on to become the Director of Business Development at Western Sydney Area Health Service in 1999. In 2001, they joined NSW Health as the Statewide Manager of Unique Patient Identifier. Ingrid then worked at the NSW Attorney General's Department as an Assistant Director of Business Solutions, where they successfully reduced development costs and improved system availability. In 2004, they became the Director of ICT Operations at the NSW Department of Corrective Services, where they reorganized the ICT functions and introduced performance management and staff development programs. In 2007, they became the Chief Information Officer at Sydney Catchment Authority, where they provided strategic advice and leadership to integrate the organization's information systems. Ingrid later joined WaterNSW in 2015 as the Executive Manager of IM&CT, where they focused on integrating ICT systems. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at the NSW Department of Industry as the Director of Information Management and Technology. Currently, they serve as the Chief Digital and Information Officer at Wollongong City Council.

Ingrid McAlpin completed a Bachelor's Degree in A.App.Sc (Biomed) from the University of Technology Sydney in the years from 1976 to 1980. Later, they pursued a Graduate Diploma in Applied Science (Computing) from Charles Sturt University from 1989 to 1992. In their educational journey, from 2005 to 2008, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from Western Sydney University. Following this, they enrolled at Charles Sturt University again, completing a Master's in Information Technology with a concentration in Management from 2013 to 2015. Moreover, Ingrid McAlpin attended the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2020 and became a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors with a specialization in Directorship.
