Paul Whitney

Vice President of Residential Programs at Wolverine Human Services

Paul Whitney is responsible for maintaining the integrity of licenses and contracts for all residential services. This includes keeping all clients secure in a learning-safe environment, overseeing Program Managers to ensure that all WHS initiatives remain safe and effective for clients, and monitoring the overall budgets of each residential program.

Paul Whitney began his career with the Vassar Police Department in 1988 and started at WHS in 1992 as a Wilderness Counselor. Eight years later, Whitney joined the Wolverine Human Services Administrative Team as the Director of Operations and Facilities. Other roles he held include Program Manager, Residential Care Coordinator, and Safety & Security Director.

Additionally, Whitney remains an active Vassar community member, a Rotarian at the Vassar Rotary Club, Chairman on the Keep Vassar Beautiful Committee, and continues to sit on the Tuscola County Human Services Coordinating Council. Previously, Whitney was a VP on the Vassar Chamber of Commerce, President of the Downtown Development Authority, and Citizen of the Year in 2005.
