Vivek Bhakta

Vivek Bhakta is the Co-Founder and Head of Infrastructure at WOMBO. Vivek has over four years of professional experience in software engineering and data science.

Vivek started their career as a Software Developer at SavantX, where they converted Mathematica code base to Python GUI to save money on licensing. Vivek also created API endpoint on IBM Watson platform for SavantX searching algorithms, set up Splunk to easily access logs and visualize performance for clients and for developers, and built and configured servers for new clients.

After SavantX, Vivek worked as a Data Science Intern at Qualcomm. During their time there, they used Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, and Splunk to work on workflow optimization.

After Qualcomm, Vivek began working as a Software Engineer at Cisco. Vivek quickly became the Team/Project Lead and was responsible for all hosted applications on AWS. Vivek also worked with Jenkins, Docker, Python (API, Data Scrapping, Automation), RHEL, Kubernetes Basics, and Backend API development.

Most recently, Vivek was a Senior Software Engineer at Stride. There they containerized Mobile APIs (ECS Fargate, TypeScript, express), worked on AWS Infra, and internal tools (React, Python, Flask), as well as ETL pipelines. Vivek also assisted eng team growth.

Vivek is currently the Co-Founder and Head of Infrastructure at WOMBO.

Vivek Bhakta studied computer engineering at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.

Their manager is Ben-Zion Benkhin, Founder & CEO. Some of their coworkers include Kim Pham - Content Manager, Parshant Loungani - Co-Founder & Head of AI, and Ryan Khurana - Chief of Staff.
