My greatest joy is seeing aspiring board directors, especially women and those from other underrepresented groups, appointed to their first corporate board. My focus is: Leading programs to drive change in board composition; and Advising individuals seeking corporate board appointments
My career began as a corporate finance attorney at Allen & Overy in London. After moving to the U.S. and working for Deloitte, McKinsey, and Microsoft, I became the Program Director and then Program Advisor of Onboarding Women, an initiative sponsored by Deloitte and others aimed at increasing the number of women on corporate boards initially in Washington state and then scaled nationally. Recent work at Deloitte allowed me to hone my skills in board thought leadership for clients, and organizations, including the National Association of Corporate Directors, and others. In 2021, I brought together key advisors and sponsors and launched the Black Boardroom Initiative, a program focused on increasing the Black representation on Corporate boards in the state of Washington, with a view to scaling across the nation.
