Karla Bousquet has built a dynamic career in Marketing, Communications, and Human Resources for over 25 years. She is a leader on IBM’s Corporate Communications team, providing strategic counsel and support to both IBM’s Executive Chairman and CEO, where she designs flagship platforms and experiences as well as drives senior executive placements in external events and media. She is also responsible for the strategy and execution of IBM’s global recognition events.
Prior to this, Karla was Vice-President of Client Executive Marketing, where she was responsible for creating client experiences that built and extended IBM’s relationships with CEOs and other C-suite executives. Most notably, Karla launched the CIO Leadership Exchange and established the Center for CIO Leadership, which delivered tailored education and research to a global CIO Community that grew from 300 CIOs to over 3000 global members. She has also led Diversity & Inclusion for IBM EMEA and started her career with IBM in Paris.
Karla earned a bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Law and Organization from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service and holds a Master of Science in Foreign Service. She completed the Landegger Honors Program in International Business Diplomacy at Georgetown and also served on the Governing Board of Officers. She has travelled extensively and speaks English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish.
