Marianne Ritchie Gordan

Dr. Marianne Ritchie Gordan is a Gastroenterologist and Associate Professor at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. She attended St Joseph’s University in the third class that accepted women, then Jefferson Medical College, the last medical school in the country to accept women. She studied Gastroenterology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and has a special interest in prevention and early detection of colorectal cancer. She is a teacher, clinician, author, and noted public speaker. She is a member of the Women’s Committee of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), the board of the national Colorectal Cancer Alliance, and the Pennsylvania Colorectal Cancer Workgroup. In 2017 she won a national award for her BLUE LIGHTS CAMPAIGN for Colon Cancer Awareness. She has published data on “PINK PLUS”, the trademarked program which bundles screenings for women’s cancers. She was recently President of Jefferson Medical Alumni, the largest US medical alumni body. She is the Medical Editor for “Women to Watch”, a radio show in Philadelphia, Nashville, and New York (WABC) and now hosts her own show, “Your Radio Doctor” on WPHT, 1210 AM each Sunday morning at 10:00 AM, which airs in three states and has national podcasts.
