Ramone Segree

U. S. Executive Director & VP, Marketing, Development, & Communications at Women for Women International

With a thirty-year career of service and philanthropy, Ramone provides both strategic and personal leadership for the MDC team. Before Women for Women International, he served as VP for Development at New York University Langone Health, Grossman School of Medicine, and NYU Langone Long Island, and held senior leadership positions at higher education, academic health center, cultural and human service organizations. He was also President of Segree Associates, a strategic management and philanthropy firm he formed in 2002.

He is a frequent presenter which has included the history and practice of ethics in philanthropy and voluntarism, the impact of racial equity and coronavirus on fundraising diversity, and mapping systemic racism through social science theory and research. He also currently teaches in the Nonprofit Management Program at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies and has served as a medical specialist in the U.S. Army Reserves and Pennsylvania National Guard, on top of holding numerous voluntary leadership roles including Board Chair of the International Association of Fundraising Professionals Foundation for Philanthropy.

Ramone holds a Doctorate degree in Education and Organizational Leadership from Columbia University and a Master’s degree in Psycho-social Science and Organizational Development from Pennsylvania State University.
