Elsa Picão serves as the Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the Women in Global Health Comunidade Lusófona, focusing on amplifying the voices of Portuguese-speaking women in global health and advocating for gender transformative leadership. Currently, Elsa is the Head of Operations and Partnerships at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where responsibilities include managing a green hydrogen flagship project and overseeing the development of a new healthcare campus. Previous roles include advising on digital economy policy at CIP, consulting on global health for the Direção-Geral da Saúde, and managing development cooperation projects with TESE. Elsa holds a Post-Graduate degree in Information Management and Business Intelligence in Healthcare from NOVA IMS and has extensive experience working with the European Parliament, the United Nations, and various educational institutions.
