Elise Degen

Elise Degen is an experienced communications and relations professional currently serving as the Acting Manager of Communications and Digital Content for the Vice-Principal (Research) at Queen's University since June 2023. With a strong background in communications, Elise has held various roles at Queen's University since 2016, including Communications & Relations Coordinator and Training Coordinator at the Centre for Advanced Computing. Additional leadership roles include Chair of the Training Advisory Committee and Co-Chair of the National Communications Working Group at Compute Ontario, along with membership in organizations such as the HPC Global Outreach Community of Practice and Women in High Performance Computing. Educational qualifications include a Certificate in Emerging Leaders from Queen's University and several other relevant certifications and diplomas. Prior experience includes international travel consulting and marketing support at the Smith School of Business.
