WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease
Betty Leonard Werner, LCSW, is the owner of Counseling Concepts, where Betty Leonard has provided therapy services since 2005 for clients ranging from ages 5 to 65, including involvement with Employee Assistance Programs and life coaching. Additionally, since October 2004, Betty has served as the National Spokesperson for WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease, advocating for women's heart health awareness and research. Previously, Betty held the position of Vice President at Werner Sales Corp from 1980 to 2001, managing employee benefits, labor relations, and financial operations for a multimillion-dollar beverage wholesaler. Educational qualifications include a Master of Social Work from Saint Louis University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/History from Benedictine College.
