WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease
Tonya Roney Moore is an experienced healthcare professional and artist with a focus on women's heart health. Currently serving as the Support Network Coordinator at WomenHeart of Cone Health since May 2014, Tonya is dedicated to supporting women with or at risk for heart disease. Additionally, Tonya is a Patient Ambassador for the Heartmate II Left Ventricular Assist Device at Abbott and co-coordinates the "Enduring Hearts" LVAD Support Group at Cone Health, providing emotional and educational support for patients and caregivers. Tonya also holds the positions of South Atlantic District Support Leader and WomenHeart Champion at WomenHeart: the National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease. Outside of healthcare, Tonya is the owner and artist at Splash of Color Stained Glass, a venture that has been ongoing since 1998. Tonya graduated from Hugh M. Cummings High School in 1987.
