Christopher Anderson

Christopher Anderson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in fundraising and advancement. Currently serving as Senior Officer for Individual Giving at the Women's Refugee Commission since June 2023, Christopher is responsible for enhancing the individual giving program with a target of raising $1.9 million in FY25 to support advocacy for displaced women and girls. Previously, as Deputy Director of Advancement at Island Housing Trust from May 2017 to July 2023, Christopher secured over $18 million for the development of affordable housing on Martha’s Vineyard. Christopher also held the role of Director of Annual Giving at Martha’s Vineyard Public Schools from October 2012 to June 2017, focusing on educational support for neurodivergent students. Additional experience includes serving as a freelance copywriter for the International Rescue Committee and working as an editor in the Intellectual Property Department at Tilleke & Gibbins International Ltd. Christopher holds a BFA in Fine Art from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and an MFA in Creative Writing with a focus on Poetry from Brooklyn College.
