Katherine Sarkis Acerra

Katherine Sarkis Acerra currently serves as the Senior Director of Individual Engagement and Marketing at the Women's Refugee Commission since February 2023. Prior to this role, Katherine worked as an Account Director at Tronvig from November 2020 to June 2023 and owned Sarkis Associates from July 2019 to June 2023. Katherine's extensive experience includes serving as the Director of Global Communications at Helen Keller International from October 2016 to July 2019, and holding multiple marketing positions, including Director of Brand Marketing and Creative, at the International Rescue Committee from April 2004 to September 2016. Earlier career roles include Manager at the New York State Council on the Arts, Director of Development and Communications at the Community of Literary Magazines and Presses, Development Manager at CancerCare, Community Programs Manager at Queens Library, and Development Associate at Planting Fields Foundation. Katherine holds an MFA in Creative Writing, Poetry and Poetics from The New School and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Long Island University.
