Visiting Artist Teacher at Wonder Media

Sandra Fernandez is an experienced professional with a background in media, teaching, and tutoring. Sandra began their career in 2015 as a Creative Writer and Editor for West Hollywood Sports Festival Magazine and a Poetry Editor for Matchbox Magazine. In 2017, they took on the role of Founder and Editor-in-Chief at Intercultural Press, Academic Tutor at Achieve Success Tutoring, and Poetry Editor for The Northridge Review at California State University, Northridge. In 2018, they were a Literacy Leader at Wise Readers to Leaders and an Art Instructor at GRYD Program. In 2019, they were a Visiting Artist Teacher and Client Relations at Wonder Media. In 2020, they became an English and Spanish Teacher at Blue Ribbon Academy. In 2021, they returned to Wonder Media as a Visiting Artist Teacher, training students and teachers how to tell their stories through filmmaking and animation programs in the Lancaster and Palmdale School District.

Sandra Fernandez began their educational journey in 2010, when they attended Santa Monica College and obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) in English Language and Literature/Letters. Sandra then moved on to the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Literature Creative Writing in 2016. Afterward, they attended California State University, Northridge, where they obtained their Master of Arts - MA in English Creative Writing in 2020. In 2017, they additionally obtained a certification in InDesign CC 2018 Essential Training from Lynda.com.
