Katy Balfour

Katy Balfour has a diverse and extensive work experience in the immersive theater and creative event production industry. Katy started their career at Punchdrunk Theatrical Experiences Limited as a Performer/Writer/Deviser from September 2005 to April 2007. Katy then worked as an Assistant Director on "The Black Diamond" project at Punchdrunk/Mother London from July 2011 to September 2011. Katy also served as a Director for Punchdrunk/Mother London, where they created an immersive bar and live action experience for Stella Artois at the Cannes Film Festival in 2012. Katy later joined Punchdrunk Enrichment and worked as a Writer/Performer for "Grey's Printing Press" in February 2012. Katy continued their journey with Punchdrunk and took on the role of Associate Director for "The Borough," an immersive audio tour for Punchdrunk & Aldeburgh Festival from March 2013 to June 2013. In 2013, they also worked as a Director on "Shenanigans," a collaboration with Carat Sponsorship and Tourism Ireland. Katy then joined Punchdrunk Enrichment again in 2014 as a Director for "St Ethelburga's Hallowtide Fair." In 2015, they worked as Co-Director for "Against Captain's Orders" at Punchdrunk Enrichment. Katy's last position was at Wonderbly, where they started as a Story Producer in March 2017 and later became the VP of Publishing in January 2020.

Katy Balfour attended the University of Birmingham from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Drama and Dramatics/Theatre Arts.
