Akim Malaba

Akim Malaba has a diverse work experience in the field of software development and engineering. Akim is currently working as a Senior Fullstack Developer at Wonderlabz, where they started in February 2023. Prior to this, they were a Full-stack Java Developer at the same company from October 2021 to February 2023.

Before joining Wonderlabz, Akim worked as a Senior Software Engineer at the National University of Science and Technology from April 2021 to September 2021. In this role, they developed and maintained critical university systems and software, and also handled infrastructure and DevOps tasks, including the development and maintenance of a functional CI/CD framework.

Previously, they worked as a Software Engineer at Qubed Trust from March 2020 to April 2021, where they led a team of software engineers in developing software solutions for the first world market.

In terms of their early career, Akim served as a Developer/Systems Administrator at Gwanda State University from January 2018 to March 2020, and as a Software Technician at the National University of Science and Technology from September 2014 to December 2017.

Akim'sprofessional journey started as an Intern at NUST ICTs from 2012 to July 2013. Throughout their various roles, Akim has gained expertise in technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Hibernate, JPA, PostgreSQL, Jenkins, Confluent Kafka, Redis, Sonarqube, and Flutter.

Akim Malaba completed their secondary education at Bulawayo Adventist High School from 2004 to 2009. Following this, they attended the National University of Science and Technology (ZW) from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Computer Science.
