Kumaran Palani

Kumaran Palani has extensive work experience in the field of user experience design, with a focus on human experience. From 2001 to 2023, Kumaran held various roles in different companies. Beginning in 2001, Kumaran worked as a UI Designer at Pixel Studios Pvt. Ltd. From 2006 to 2008, Kumaran served as a Senior Engineer, UX Development at Extreme Networks, where they were responsible for managing projects and developing user interfaces for network management systems. Following that, Kumaran joined Nokia in 2008 as a Senior Designer, User Experience, specializing in smartphone application UX design and developing information architecture and wireframes for applications. In 2012, Kumaran joined Infosys Digital as a User Experience Architect, progressing to Senior User Experience Architect and then Principal, Experience Design. In these roles, Kumaran led teams, engaged clients in design thinking, and resolved business challenges through strategic and creative approaches. Currently, Kumaran is the Head of Business Development (India) at WONGDOODY, and also holds the position of Head of Human Experience Design at the Chennai Studio.

Kumaran Palani completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Textile Technology and Fashion Design from PSG College of Technology, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. In addition to their degree, Kumaran obtained various certifications over the years. Kumaran received a Certification In Multimedia and Web Technologies from Arena multimedia in April 2001, followed by a Professional Certification in Media Convergence and Web Engineering from Arena Multimedia in March 2001. In June 2019, they obtained an Adobe XD Essentials Certification from Adobe. Furthermore, they received a Membership Certificate from The Interaction Design Foundation in December 2019. More recently, in May 2022, Kumaran obtained certifications as a Certified Metaverse Expert™ from the Blockchain Council and completed the course "Metaverse - Everything about AR, VR, and NFTs" from Udemy. It is also noted that Kumaran holds a Certified Usability Analyst certification, although the obtained month and year are not specified.
