John L. Young

John L. Young, is an Of-Counsel attorney with the firm. John focuses on patent preparation and prosecution. John is also a former Primary Patent Examiner, where he examined applications in the electrical and computer science arts, including telecommunications and business methods. John is recently retired from the US Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), from the position of Associate Patent Counsel, where he served for six years, preparing and prosecuting US and International patent applications originated by NRL Scientists and engineers in the electrical, optical, mechanical and computer arts. In this position, John won numerous Navy achievement awards, including a Department of Defense Team Excellence Award in 2010 for a business methods patent application prepared and prosecuted to issuance.
