IT Separation - Workstream Architecture Lead at Wood Mackenzie

Derek Darling has worked in various roles throughout their career. Derek began in 2009 as a Senior Design Consultant for Southwark Council and Serco. In 2010, they joined Tesco Bank as a Senior Technical Consultant before moving on to RBS as a Citrix Specialist in 2011. Derek then worked as an Infrastructure Architect for Clydesdale Bank in 2017 and as a Technical Architect for Standard Life Assurance from 2017 to 2020. From 2020 to 2022, they served as a Senior Solution Architect for abrdn. Derek later joined McKesson in 2022 as a Solution Lead for the EU Separation Programme. In 2023, they became the Workstream Architecture Lead for IT Separation at Wood Mackenzie. Derek also has experience as the Managing Director of iTemp Ltd since 2005.

Derek Darling attended Beeslack High School from 1992 to 1998. Derek then pursued a Bsc Hons degree in Computing Science & Management Studies at the University of Glasgow from 1998 to 2002. Additionally, Derek obtained a Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in 2020.
