Joanna Orkisz has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of architecture and design. Joanna started their career as an intern architect at Atelier K Maxime Khalili in 2007 and later worked at ADD Architectural Studio in the same role. In 2009, they joined Hermanowicz Rewski Architekci as an intern architect before being promoted to the role of architect in 2010. Joanna then worked at Watson Young Architects as an architect from 2011 to 2013. Joanna then joined M Moser Associates as a designer for a brief period in 2013. In 2014, they worked freelance as an architect and interior designer before joining COX Architecture (Australia) as an architect from 2014 to 2015. Their most recent role was at Woods Bagot as a project professional starting in 2015.
Joanna Orkisz began their education in 2004 at Warsaw University of Technology in Warsaw, Poland, where they obtained a Bachelor of Architecture degree in Architecture and Urban Design in 2008. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Architecture degree at Politecnico di Milano in Milan, Italy, specializing in Architecture and Urban Design from 2008 to 2010. During their master's studies, in 2009 and 2010, they also attended Vienna University of Technology in Vienna, Austria, for architecture-related coursework. Additionally, in 2009 and 2010, they attended the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Vienna, Austria, where they studied Landscape Architecture. In 2006 and 2007, they briefly studied at Ecole Superieure d'Architecture de Strasbourg in Strasbourg, France, focusing on Architecture and Urban Design.
