Matt Reynolds

Matt Reynolds has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of architecture. Matt currently works at Woods Bagot as a Technical Design Leader, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at mattr.studio as a Senior Sawdust Creator, where they were responsible for the design and construction of their own two-bedroom unit.

Reynolds also worked at Cumulus Studio as a Senior Architect from 2020 to 2022. During this time, they led the design and documentation of various projects, including the expansion of Launceston Airport and the design of Legana Primary School.

Before joining Cumulus Studio, Reynolds worked at Populous as an Associate Principal from 2013 to 2019. In addition to managing and leading teams on large sports and entertainment projects, they also played a significant role in team culture and mentoring junior staff.

Earlier in their career, Reynolds worked at Cox Architecture as a Senior Project Lead and at TURNER STUDIO as a Project Lead. Matt also gained experience at James Cubitt Architects Brisbane as a Senior Project Architect/Designer and at Cottee Parker Architects as an Associate Director.

Reynolds started their career as a Design Architect at Populous in 2000 and later joined Cottee Parker Architects in 2003. Matt has a strong background in delivering small to medium-scale projects and expertise in sports-related projects.

Matt Reynolds attended QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 1992 to 1994 and obtained a Bachelor of Built Environment (BBE) degree with a focus on Architecture during that time. Matt then continued their education at QUT from 1994 to 1997 and received a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree. Matt Reynolds has also obtained additional certifications, including being a Registered Architect in Tasmania (No.1284) since January 2021 and a Registered Architect (No. 7945) according to the NSW Architects Registration Board, although the year of obtaining the latter certification is unknown.
