Christina Haskins has a diverse work experience spanning different fields. Christina started their career at the Upper Bucks YMCA as an Aquatics Director, where they developed and implemented high-quality aquatic programs and supervised staff. After that, they worked at the Alaska SeaLife Center as an Aviculturist, focusing on the health and physiology of wild avian species and developing ecological biomarkers. Christina then joined Rutgers University as a Biological Oceanographer/Glider Technician, before moving on to the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. At Woods Hole, Christina held roles including Senior Engineering Assistant II, where they studied small-scale physical processes in the ocean, and NDSF Associate Director of Data and Science Ops, a position they currently hold.
Christina Haskins completed their education with a Master's degree in Ecology from Rutgers University in 2014-2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from Rutgers University in 2004-2007. In 2002-2003, they attended the University of Tampa for Marine Sciences. In addition to their academic achievements, Christina has also acquired certifications such as LFS301: Linux for System Administrators from The Linux Foundation and PADI Rescue Diver from PADI.
