Craig LaPlante has extensive experience in digital media production and management. Craig started their career as a Production Assistant at the City of Boston, where they shot and edited various public events, PSAs, and programs. Craig also gained experience in event production and troubleshooting field production during live events.

Craig then worked as a Video Editor & Media Lab Technician at Cramer, where they edited videos for high-profile clients and designed DVD menus for commercial distribution.

Craig then moved on to Northeastern University, where they served as a Video and Multimedia Producer. In this role, they developed strategic multimedia productions to advance institutional messaging and led concept development for numerous productions.

At the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Craig first worked as a Senior Multimedia Producer and Editor, producing digital content to support research and increase engagement. Later, they became the Senior Manager of Creative Digital Media, leading all aspects of video production from storyboarding and planning to editing and publishing.

Craig also worked as a Content Consultant at Creative Digital Media, helping businesses enhance their brand through various digital media production services.

Currently, Craig is the Director of Digital Media at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, where they lead the Digital Media Group and oversees the management and direction of digital media production strategy for campaigns, events, and research initiatives.

Throughout their career, Craig has demonstrated expertise in live event production, website design, social media content strategy, video production, graphic design, motion graphics, photography, and audio design. Craig has a strong track record of producing engaging and impactful digital media projects.

Craig LaPlante has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies from Northeastern University, which they earned from 2006 to 2010. Craig also has a Master's degree in Digital Media Management from Northeastern University, which they earned from 2013 to 2015. In addition, they hold a Certificate in Leadership Development from Harvard University, which they obtained in 2017.
