Janet Geist Moore has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Janet started their career as an Assistant Designer at KPMG Peat Marwick, where they created ads, corporate brochures, and newsletters. Janet then moved on to Merrill Lynch, where they designed promotional material for in-house software. After that, they worked at Morgan Stanley as a Training Coordinator, coordinating projects and training new employees.

In 2002, Janet joined Bowne Business Solutions as a Training Coordinator and Production Designer, where they created illustrations, maps, business graphics, and slides for various client projects. Janet also trained new employees and oversaw their work. Janet later joined RR Donnelley as a Project Manager, coordinating projects in the Lucite, gift items, and print production areas.

Janet's work in the scientific field began in 2008 when they joined the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Janet served as an Executive Assistant to the VP for Operations and CFO, handling administrative, management, and technical duties. Janet also worked as an Administrator for the Coastal Ocean Institute, Ocean Life Institute, and Marine Mammal Center, assisting with proposal calls, travel arrangements, and accounting for funding. Janet also served as an Administrative Associate and Senior Administrative Specialist for the Marine Chemistry & Geochemistry Department and the Ridge 2000 program, respectively. In these roles, they supported scientists in proposal preparation, publication preparation, and budget management.

Throughout their career, Janet has demonstrated their ability to coordinate projects, ensure quality, meet deadlines, and keep within budget constraints.

Janet Geist Moore holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre/Theater from Stony Brook University, which they earned between 1979 and 1983. Janet also attended Loughborough University from 1981 to 1982 for a year of drama studies. Later, they pursued a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 1992 to 1995.
