Laura McDonnell

Laura McDonnell, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Investigator and Scholar at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution since September 2023. Previously, Laura served as a Doctoral Student at the University of Miami from August 2018 to June 2023, where research focused on ecosystem science and policy. Laura's extensive experience includes roles such as Social Impact Grant Lead at Nada, and various research assistant positions at McGill University and Fisheries and Oceans Canada, contributing to aquatic ecology studies, experimental design, and training of undergraduate students. Educated with a Ph.D. in Ecosystem Science and Policy from the University of Miami, a Master of Science in Aquatic Ecology from McGill University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from McGill University, Laura has developed a strong foundation in both research and education in aquatic sciences.
